Criminological analysis of violence in Afghan prisons

Abstract

Every community, along with progress in the cultural, economic, and social fields, is a breeding ground for criminal acts that are bound to endure. But what should be noted is that when a criminal falls into the trap of the law and ends up in prison, the basic rights of the prisoner must be respected. In the laws of Afghanistan, especially in the law of Afghan prisons, rules and principles guaranteeing the rights of prisoners are provided. In this research, the violence in Afghanistan's prisons has been carefully and scientifically examined from the perspective of criminal laws, especially the law of Afghanistan's prisons. The purpose of the research is to examine the rights of prisoners in the laws of Afghanistan and to provide them to the judicial and judicial institutions of Afghanistan in order to ensure the rights of prisoners. This research is developmental in nature and descriptive and analytical in terms of research method. Evaluation of the principle of prohibition of violence against prisoners, the factors of violence in prisons, the principle of patriarchy, gender discrimination, crime prevention factors, the awareness of prisoners about their rights, the fight against administrative corruption, the strengthening of supervisory institutions and the strengthening of institutions for handling the complaints of prisoners are the findings of this research.
